This notice explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

This website has no forms and does not ask for your details. When you WhatsApp or phone Marguerite, we use your name, number and message only to answer your question and, if you ask us to, help you book. We do not add you to a mailing list, sell your details or use them for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your messages only for as long as we need them to deal with your question or booking.

Who else handles it

Cloudflare hosts this website. It is based in the United States, acts only on our instructions and protects information to a standard comparable to POPIA, which allows this transfer outside South Africa under section 72.

Booking, WhatsApp and social media

Bookings are made on Booksy, which has its own privacy policy. If you message us on WhatsApp or through Instagram or Facebook, those services’ own policies apply to the messages.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across other websites. The map on the contact page is provided by Google Maps, so Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies when the map loads. If you choose to open the Booksy booking calendar on the contact page, Booksy may set its own cookies from that point.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details above. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
